You are buying a approx. 4ft (inc. pot) Osakazuki Japanese Maple in a 10litre sized pot. The plant should establish well in the ground, or in a container. The photos show some of the ACTUAL MAPLES on offer (taken throughout the year, last two in June 2025). This is a pot grown acer, supplied in its pot. You are buying ONE maple. Japanese Maples are actually WOODLAND plants, so do keep them in half to 90% shade. They make lovely pot patio specimens, but are also an important feature of Japanese style gardens and fernerys. Product details
- Position: Outdoors. In a sheltered position, both from strong winds (which will scorch the leaves), and burning sun. Partial shade is ideal. Protect young plants from severe frost over winter.
- Watering: Maples must be kept moist - do not let the soil dry out if you plant in a container.
- Soil: Prefer acidic - a mixture of 80% peat, and 20% bark is recommended - if you plant it in the ground, then dig in some peat or a good peat based compost.
